50 years of Mercury Bay Area School - Honouring our past and looking to the future!

Mercury Bay Area School celebrates our 50th Anniversary in April 2027, marking five decades of achievement, community and school spirit.

Formed in 1976 as a District High School and then in 1981 as an area school covering the wider Coromandel Peninsula today we have a thriving school with over 900 students.

We are excited to celebrate this significant milestone with the community and welcome all current and past students, staff, whanau and supporters of the school to take a trip down memory lane.

Hold the date–our 50th Celebration will take place over the weekend of 9-11 April 2027 in Whitianga.
